LUDIBRIUM

From ludus - “game”, "plaything".

Related to ludo - “I mock”.

To become an object of ridicule; to be laughed at.

The Arthurian romances and Dante's Divine Comedy were deliberately constructed along the lines of a ludibrium; as were many great and revolutionary works of history including a lot of Chronicles and Sagas.

In the past, anyone who criticised the established mainstream narratives had to invent stories based around “dialogues” between two characters. These dialogues would be used to express the author's opinions, but if necessary, could be  easily dismissed as humour or ridiculous speculation.

If the doors of perception were cleansed,

every thing would appear to man as it is: infinite.

There are things known

and things unknown

and in between are the doors.
